Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) recognized Charlotte leaders in business, health, sports, arts & culture for the 8th Annual Awards of Excellence event. With Glenda G. Gabriel, senior vice president and neighborhood lending executive for Bank of America, serving as the honorary chair, the event was part of TMCF’s regional Awards of Excellence program.

This year’s honorees include: Ophelia E. Garmon-Brown, M. D., vice president, Novant Health; Corie Pauling, Esq., associate general counsel, TIAA-CREF, Fred A. Whitfield, Esq., president & chief operating officer of Bobcats Sports & Entertainment, and Emily Zimmern, president & CEO, The Levine Museum of The New South.
