Hennessy 44 Obama Bottle

Moet Hennessy USA produced a Hennessy 44 Limited Edition (180,000) bottle to commemorate the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States. A portion of the proceeds from the Hennessy 44 Limited Edition bottle was donated to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund to help cultivate a new generation of leaders. The proceeds helped to create two four-year scholarships to public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The scholarships were awarded to exceptional individuals who demonstrated the potential to make great changes in this country.

MillerCoors Text Campaign

MillerCoors, a founding sponsor of TMCF, helped raise awareness and funds for the organization, by holding a promotion featuring Miller Lite. Miller Lite donated $1 to TMCF for each T-shirt requested.

The Sprint 4G Competitive Edge Filmmakers Challenge

Sprint, along with contest partners Thurgood Marshall College Fund and Wells Fargo, sponsored the 4G Competitive Edge Filmmakers Challenge, a short film competition that called for college students to create a short film on a smartphone. The challenge featured a supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) tour, where college students had the opportunity to attend a career seminar with industry experts that included celebrity guests. Professionals gave students fresh insight on the different elements necessary for a successful career in film using the latest in technology. Additionally, students had a hands-on experience with the latest Sprint 4G products and attended an exclusive screening of Idris Elba’s new feature film, “Legacy.”
