24th Anniversary Awards Dinner

24thAnnthumbThe Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s 24th Anniversary Awards Dinner, themed “Developing Minds…Delivering Dreams” is scheduled for Monday, October 24, 2011 at The Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in New York City. Proceeds from the event enable TMCF to continue its work as a critical link between students having greater access to higher education and the opportunity to become a part of a new generation of global leaders.

Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is celebrating 23 years of developing minds and delivering dreams of students attending 47 member public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and 6 historically black law schools. To mark the 23rd Anniversary of TMCF, a weekend is being planned which honors the traditions upon which the organization was established.

DRESS FOR SUCCESS DVD

Dress for Success is the second installment of the educational Thurgood Marshall College Fund Career Development DVD series, which provides an illustrated introduction on the subject of proper dressing attire in preparation for a job interview. This DVD picks up where TMCF leaves off in its annual training of over 600 students during its annual Leadership Institute held in New York City.

Designed to enhance the college experience, more than 600 students participate in workshops that cover a broad scope of interests and majors, meet with Fortune 400 companies’ executives, and gain knowledge on interviewing for jobs, resume-writing and networking.

Civic Responsibility Conference

NBA AND BACARDI U.S.A., INC. TIP OFF INAUGURAL GOLD STANDARD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund, National Basketball Association, and Bacardi Gold have teamed up to provide financial assistance to outstanding male and female African American students. In addition to excelling in the classroom, these individuals are leaders in the community who exemplify the values of volunteerism and service.
