The Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s (TMCFs) online courses are designed to provide member-schools students with the tools needed to plan a career path and successfully navigate internship and employment opportunities. 

The courses are divided into to following seven modules:
  • Personal Goal Setting: Building Bridges to Success
  • Career Readiness: Identifying a “Unique Selling Proposition”
  • Written Communication: Composing a Clear and Compelling Resume
  • Career Skills: Strategic Networking
  • Problem Solving: Using Analysis to Get Results
  • Conflict Resolution: Finding the Best Approach
  • Setting Priorities: Maximizing Productivity
 Each module should take approximately one hour to complete, and post evaluations (self assessments) are included for each module.

Module 1.0 Personal Goal Setting: Building Bridges to Success
Duration: 1 Hour

At the end of this course, TMCF Scholars will be able to:
  • Develop long and short-term personal goals
  • Articulate Strategic, Measureable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART) career goals

Module 2.0 Career Readiness: Identifying a “Unique Selling Proposition”

At the end of this course, TMCF Scholars will be able to:

  • Gain the advantage by identifying their “Unique Selling Propositions” (USP)

Module 5.0 Problem Solving: Using Analysis to Get Results
