| Do you know a "student among students?" Do you know someone who is entrepreneurial? Stand out as a leader? Is active in the community? Or has already accrued honors and/or achievements? Do you know someone who excels in the classroom and beyond? If so, then perhaps this individual deserves recognition as a Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) "Distinguished Scholar.” Each month TMCF will feature two such "Distinguished Scholars" from students matriculating at our 47 member-schools, which include public Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs), medical and law schools. TMCF's work is critical to guaranteeing our country a robust and diverse pipeline of talented workers and future leaders. To nominate a student, please send an official letter on school letterhead to Ja'Nay Hawkins, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , describing why you feel said student should be considered as a Distinguished Scholar. In addition to the items mentioned above, nominated students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA at the time of nomination. Nominations can only come from faculty, staff and administrators employed by a TMCF member-school or TMCF staff member. The two students selected each month will be featured on the TMCF website and social networks. To view our 2011 Distinguished Scholars click here. |
